Eighteen first responders were honored Thursday in Jefferson City.

Family, friends and co-workers all gathered together to remember Ben Polson.

Firefighter Ben Polson, 33, died on Jan. 13, 2022 while fighting a house fire. A street will be renamed in his honor.

Crews will work on the database for at least one hour every day until it is complete.

Fire officials are collecting information for a vacant database in April.
