ASU, Cal Push Pac-12 Powers to the Brink; UNC Routs UVA

Fri Apr 16 2021 | Matt DaSilva | College PHOTO COURTESY OF ARIZONA STATE ATHLETICS Kerry Clayton scored five goals and added two assists, as Arizona State fell just short of its first-ever win over Stanford in a 22-21 overtime loss Friday. Pac-12 women’s lacrosse is no longer simply the eminent domain of Stanford and USC. This year especially, the conference is wide open. A couple of overtime thrillers reinforced that fact Friday, as No. 17 Stanford had to rally from a six-goal deficit to defeat Arizona State 22-21 and USC gave up a two-goal lead in the final minute of regulation before putting away last-place Cal 12-11.
