University of Arkansas at Little Rock students looking for careers in public administration could receive additional financial aid courtesy of a new endowed scholarship.

Seaborn is currently CCO at Texas Tech Public Media in Lubbock, where he has worked for more than eight years.

UA Little Rock will focus on increasing the number and diversity of candidates entering and graduating from their programs and transforming the entire experience for teacher candidates to be more practice-based, so teachers are ready for their classrooms on day one.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia are to receive a combined $3.6 million in funding and technical assistance from expert partners over the next three years to increase the quantity, quality and diversity of the states teacher workforce.

The general manager of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's public radio stations will leave his post, he confirmed Friday.
