Superintendent Nicholas Guarente said if Big Spring doesn't approve a solicitor service contract by July 1 the district will be without legal representation.
The Big Spring School Board kicked off the new year with discussions about transparency, potential future projects and increased program opportunities.
President John Wardle said the district's business manager and administration currently review the account standings and provide them to the board for approval at meetings.
"The ESCO project will replace outdated/end of life equipment with no impact financial to the taxpayers, while seeing savings in the operational budget over the next 20 years."
