The Big Spring School Board kicked off the new year with discussions about transparency, potential future projects and increased program opportunities.

The second and final phase of the project is anticipated to begin next summer and wrap up before the start of the next school year.

"The ESCO project will replace outdated/end of life equipment with no impact financial to the taxpayers, while seeing savings in the operational budget over the next 20 years."

Revenues for the upcoming budget total $62,068,989, while expenditures amount to $62,590,337.
