Biology Research Program News Today

Thesis Thursday airs six times every Thursday and features students sharing their research from the University of Arizona's Department of Environmental Science as well as the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP). Your hosts for the program are Mónica Ramírez-Andreotta, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental Science, and KXCI host, producer and instructor Bridgitte Thum, who will be interviewing two students per week

Seven undergraduates will earn four university-wide awards at the May 13 Commencement ceremony.

The program is being led by Dr. Daniela Zarnescu, a Molecular and Cellular Biology faculty member and experienced Beckman Mentor. Faculty mentors are drawn from three UArizona departments within the College of Science: Chemistry and Biochemistry, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Molecular and Cellular Biology.
