An investigation is underway after a child was injured in a bear attack in North Castle, NY on Tuesday morning.

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the bear scratched an 82-year-old woman on the legs before fleeing the area.

Federal officials are trying to track down the bear with a team of hounds, and it will be euthanized if located.

The frightening encounter happened while the Pennsylvania man was trying to fill a kiddie pool for his granddaughter.
