With frigid wind chills and precipitation on the way, Downtown Indy, Inc. has canceled the St. Patrick's Day celebration.

The Center of Concern’s Blarney Bash celebration is back in-person this year and is slated for Saturday, March 11, beginning with the Blarney Dash 5K. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. The race starts and finishes on Prairie Avenue at River Road in Des Plaines behind Brookdale Senior Living.

St. Patrick Catholic School’s annual Blarney Bash is turning into a Blarney Dash this year. A virtual 5K race is being added to the schools largest fundraiser of the year, which also includes an online auction and a raffle through the Knights of Columbus. St. Patricks, located at 1800 S. Grand Ave., serves a student population where nearly all have high financial need.
