The City of Richmond will host Spring Clean-up activities for beautification and environmental benefit.

The Fayette County Board of Education on Monday chose Jason D. Moore, a special agent and instructor with the Drug Enforcement Administration, to fill the District 3 vacancy.

“We will continue to keep the community engaged and informed as this process moves forward and invite members of the public to attend or tune in to the forum on Thursday,” Fayette School Board Chairman Tyler Murphy said.

District 3 includes the eastern section of Fayette County, including Hamburg, Chilesburg and outbound Richmond Road.

The City of Lexington is collecting citizen input on the first update to its "Empower Lexington" sustainability plan in over ten years.

The Bluegrass Greensource welcomed the community to Greenfest - a one-day event celebrating sustainability through workshops and eco-friendly vendors.

During Earth Week — April 15-22 — local coordinators will work with Bluegrass Greensource to host Main Street Clean Sweep events in 20 communities throughout Central Kentucky including Frankfort.
