i do not know if anybody told you but constitution gave the house representatives absolutely no role in the nomination or confirmation of federal judges, but that did not stop you from getting involved in this. i want to talk about what the university of south carolina is doing with, which i m hoping that you will have more time to spend there now that you have stepped out of the leadership. the university of south carolina has now created the james e. and emily e clyde burn chair for public service and civic engagement. that is what the center for civil rights, named for you and your late wife. i hope that you are going to be able to spend some time with those students there. yes, i will. and i will spend a lot of time with her bobby donaldson who will occupy that chair. he will be moving to south carolina to his rightful place in the area of civil rights.
