The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History has opened a new exhibit that chronicles the story of the Galvan Ballroom. In its early years it showcased some of the greats of the Big Band era.

John Ramirez will be executed October 5, over the objections of Mark Gonzalez, the Nueces county district attorney.

The state criminal appeals court shut down a district attorney’s argument that John Henry Ramirez should not be executed because the death penalty was “unethical.”
