The new crime center has access to around 1,700 cameras throughout the parish, a combination of traffic cameras, surveillance cameras from multiple law enforcement agencies and private security cameras.<br/><br/>

Real Time Crime Center is designed to expand law enforcements eyes within the parish and help with everything from stolen property to kidnappings.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says they are elevating its crime-fighting capabilities with the implementation of a real time crime center.

Set during a community theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof, the limited engagement will play the cell.
