After months of various leaks and rumours, today AMD has officially announced the Ryzen 5000G series of processors. These are APUs with integrated Radeon graphics cores alongside Zen 3 CPU cores for a better all-in-one solution for gaming without a dedicated graphics card.
As expected, these are 7nm Ryzen processors with up to 8 cores and 16 threads. Each SKU has an energy efficient version too with a lower TDP, so the Ryzen 7 5700G is a 65W chip, while the Ryzen 7 5700GE has a 35 TDP. Each processor also has a number of dedicated “Radeon Graphics” cores, while we don’t have confirmation, these integrated GPUs seem to be based on the Vega architecture.
