But the fact is, that if you look at why the deficits have gone up, its because of big increase in spending up like 8% the last year we checked and so for sure theres a lot of room to be made up on the deficit, absolutely, but thats like a washington thing. congress does the budget, they send it to the white house, the president signs it, and we as economists have been calling -- ive been calling for deficit reduction forever and ever. it keeps not happening. doesnt happen under president obama....
