New Bedford, Massachusetts, U.S.A.-based pet protein manufacturer Northern Pelagic Group (NORPEL) has opened a new processing facility in Pennsylvania.

 

And some dont even know they exist. The 30-plus concrete steps are used primarily by pedestrians to get to New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge on Route 6 for shopping or work at businesses on Fish Island and Popes Island.   The stairs, as best as anyone can tell, have been there for at least 40 years. “I didn’t know they were there,” said Elizabeth Gomes, responding to the Standard-Times call out on social media about the steps.  Others also chimed in that they never knew about the ...
