Energized behind a loud home crowd, the University of Arkansas womens basketball team surged past Texas Tech in the second half and advanced to the WNIT quarterfinals with a 71-66 win Friday night inside Walton Arena.

Arkansas and Texas Tech are eeriliy similar teams. They meet Friday in the Super 16 from Fayetteville.

Only 27 Division I womens college basketball teams are still suiting up for games, and the University of Arkansas is happy to be among the number.
