A “man cave” under construction in an Indialantic backyard has been deemed a code violation and must be brought into compliance by this time next month lest the homeowner face daily fines, according to a county spokesperson.

The Tourist Development Council Cultural Committee will hold a meeting at the Space Coast tourism office in Cocoa Beach today to consider applications for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Major Event Grant Program. This grant is provided by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners using the Local Option Tourist Development Act, pursuant to Florida Statutes and the Brevard County Code of Ordinances.

Clean-up crews are picking up trash from last week’s EF-1 tornado. Numerous homeowners had damage, and the county’s working to clean up the mess.

Debris collection is now underway in South Patrick Shores, where dozens of homes were impacted with roof, structure and other wind-related damages from an EF1 tornado that hit the area on June 7.
