Voters on Tuesday re-elected one incumbent and one newcomer to the Mt. Pleasant City Commission.

Voters in mid-Michigan will go to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots for several school proposals and seats on local governmental units.

After asking staff to renegotiate two proposed affordable housing projects in Mt. Pleasant, city commissioners on Monday approved both, but with a higher payment in lieu of taxes ratio than what was previously offered.

A proposal for two affordable housing complexes in Mt. Pleasant is going back to the drawing board after city commissioners on Monday agreed that the payment in lieu of taxes proposal was too low.

ISABELLA COUNTY (WJRT) - The Chippewa Hills Schools operating millage in Isabella County was approved in this weeks election with 58 percent of the vote.
