Bypass, four-laning of U.S. 158 near Stokesdale may be cut
Highway planners in Guilford County are recommending the cancellation of the widening of U.S. 158 to four lanes at Stokesdale along with a Stokesdale bypass. Traffic doesnt justify the project, they say. To the west, work is starting soon on widening the highway, known as Reidsville Road, to four lanes in the first phase of the same project.
