Tuesdays unofficial election results for northwest suburban contested municipal races show incumbents prevailing and former elected officials regaining their village board seats.

Barringtons recent attainment of home rule status was top of mind for all four village board candidates during the campaign. Now, three of them, including two incumbents, appear to have the opportunity to act on it.

Four candidates are vying for three seats on the ballot for the Barrington Village Board in the April 4 election.

Barrington trustee candidates talk about home rule and how it will affect the future of the village.
