When I was 23, a year after graduating from college, I let my ACBL membership lapse, and quit the game for four years. I came back to the game at 27, but despite that, I havent played in an ACBL-sanctioned game since. I want to explain why, and why I think young people like me may feel rebuffed by the ACBL and by the US bridge community. To give an idea of my level, Im nowhere near an expert, but I love the game.
