Brightline continues critical work on its Orlando extension with train testing in Brevard County that will see trains travel up to 79 mph.

Brightline is planning continous flagging operations at railroad crossings in Indian River County to extend the line to Orlando. Train testing up to 79 mph will be conducted Wednesday, Thursday.

In Brevard County, a 13-mile stretch of track will be part of a Brightline speed testing at more than 100 mph.

Drivers in Palm Beach County could experience some travel delays in February as Brightline continues working on expanding its service to central Florida this year.

Brightline high-speed train testing will pick back up on the Treasure Coast on Friday. Full-speed 110-mile-per-hour trains will go back and forth along an 11-mile stretch of track.

This round of testing is to commission the new second set of tracks on a 13-mile stretch.
