STERLING HEIGHTS — An over three-hour discussion at the March 19 Sterling Heights City Council meeting over a proposal to put apartments along Brougham Drive ended in a 3-4 vote, causing the proposal to be rejected.

STERLING HEIGHTS — A plan to put an apartment complex on Brougham Drive was recently postponed by the Sterling Heights Planning Commission after members suggested changes that they believe could make the property more harmonious to residential neighbors and the concept of a mixed-use district.

Investigators say improperly discarded fireworks started a house fire late Tuesday night in Olathe.
