The EPA Region 7 presented Cornerstones of Care with a check for $458,358 to provide environmental job training to under-resourced children and young adults in the Kansas City area on Thursday.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently announced that the Groundwork Ohio River Valley in Cincinnati has been selected to receive a $500,000 environmental job training grant as part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda. 

The Great Lakes Community Conservation Corps of Racine is one of 14 organizations chosen by the Environmental Protection Agency to receive a grant for brownfields job training.

The grant, provided through the EPA's Brownfields Job Training Program, will go toward the recruiting and training of 40 local students to enter environmental jobs.
