Group collecting donations to rebuild with new vision after a devastating fire. Sk8 Liborius was a church transformed into a skate park.

Nearly four months after a fire gutted the north St. Louis cathedral-turned-skate park, its founders and stakeholders say a second coming for the building is on the way.

The finished products will be revealed on Labor Day.

Two months after SK8 Liborius church went up in flames, the building assessment started Thursday morning in north St. Louis City.

The Sk8 Laborious church-turned-skate park and nonprofit group on the north side of St. Louis burned down in the middle of the night in June.

Sk8 Liborius is determined to rebuild and has launched a fundraiser to help with costs.

After an abandoned church was converted into a skate park named Sk8 Liborius, ramps, rails and a half pipe were installed, but the unique architecture remained. On Wednesday night, the church-turned-skatepark went up in flames.
