The city of Arnold hired Forrest Wegge, a former Jefferson County prosecuting attorney, to be a second municipal judge to fill in when the city’s primary judge is unavailable.

The city of Arnold has received a grant to conduct a study of the intersection of Tenbrook and Arnold Tenbrook roads in the first step for a possible future improvement project.

The Arnold Recreation Center’s indoor pool is scheduled to re-open Monday, Oct. 2. The pool has been closed since July 10.

The Arnold Recreation Center’s indoor pool, 1695 Missouri State Road, will be close from July 10 to Sept. 18 so the beams and ductwork over the pool can be repainted, a new staircase for the pool’s slide can be installed and new flooring can be put in the men’s and women’s locker rooms.

The Arnold Police Department has assigned two more police officers to be school resource officers for the Fox C-6 School District, and the department will hire two additional officers to serve the city thanks to a recently passed sales tax.

The city of Arnold has entered an agreement to install a sidewalk and shared-use path on the north side of Missouri State Road near Sherwood Elementary School, and it has hired engineer firms to design improvements for the Richardson Road-Old Lemay Ferry Road intersection and on Pomme Road.

City of Arnold residents will pay Republic Services more for trash, recycling and yard waste removal services starting July 1.

City officials say there was a water main break that happened in the subdivision behind Fox C-6 School District administrative offices. Pressure will be low for now
