A WLBT newscaster from Mississippi is no longer listed as a member of its news team after quoting a Snoop Dogg lyric on air earlier this month.

A long-time WLBT meteorologist has not been seen on air since March 8 after she recited Snoop Dogg lyrics during a broadcast.

Barbie Basset was a TV news anchor at WLBT who had recently faced much criticism, mainly due to a racial comment she said on her show. 

A news anchor and meteorologist found herself quickly pulled off the air after quoting rapper Snoop Dogg on TV.
