Nikol Pashinyan and his “my-steppers” have managed to dismantle the national agenda, denounce patriotism, divide the country, destroy democracy, degrade national icons and desecrate Artsakh, the Armenian nation’s unified and primary purpose of the modern era; But they evidently had other priorities… During the war they deceived the country, denied sending supplies and troops, diverted the truth, and retreated into a desolate surrender, even though the Armenian nation around the world was united like never before. Then, Pashinyan signed the disastrous agreement surrendering most of the Republic of Artsakh, and apparently parts of Armenia, after allowing thousands of brave men and women to perish and over 10,000 to be wounded.
some are trying not to engage on the president s turf too much. not trying to show a fighter spirit but one that is a call for unity. this is how sanders goes after the president. what is going to be different this time? we are going to win. we have a president who is a pa pathological liar. we have a president who is a racist, sexist who is doing what no president in our lifetime has come close to doing and that is trying to divide us up. he will have to make adjustments this time around. that s the big question around sanders. can he expand beyond what he already got in 2016? we ll see what happens fairly soon. this is moving. this is moving along. thanks very much. once again, i ll be moderating cnn town hall with bernie sanders. tune in monday night at 8:00 p.m. eastern right here on cnn.
so unity shmumty, i suppose. reporter: they don t believe the president s calls for unity are going to to much to bridge that gap between the democrats and the president that we ve seen over the last several weeks especially with that bitter 35 day shutdown and even though they re saying, yes, the president will call for unity and yes he ll be optimistic, we can see what s really going to happen in washington over the next few days just by looking at the president s twitter feed. he was already blasting senator chuck schumer even though they ve been saying it s a call for unity. schumer is already criticizing my state of the union speech even though hasn t seen it yet. he s just upset that he didn t win the senate, after spend ag a fortune. that tweet came just minutes after senator chuck schumer was making a floor speech today that was airing on c-span and this is what he had to say ahead of the president s state of the union
nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism by saying our interests firsts, who cares about the others, we erase what a nation holds dearest, what gives it life, what makes it great and what is essential, its moral values. so a call for unity, a call for a global community and rebuke of nationalism, something that is in in ways part of president trump s america first agenda according to him. he says it s not america alone, but america first. that seemed to be one of the targets from emmanuel macron. they ve also had differences on a range of issues and saturday they met for a bilateral meeting, the two men talking about issues. it was clear there was tension between them. officials say that was worked out and there were friendly exchanges but after being so close and so publicly demonstrative about their
i was blown away. to a person, they mentioned immigration and the crisis of the border. and most of them had personalized it. you heard some of them at the top where they said i came in legally. i waited. we got sponsors. we had to get people to sponsor us. we needed jobs and a place to live. we went through hearings. we can t just have people crashing the border. for them it s extremely personal and to hear that this sort of breaks against the narrative, totally cuts against the narrative we are hearing in the media that latinos want open borders or relaxation in the border policies, quite the opposite i found here and again, these latinos were from all over the southwest and the south, they were just texans. but that was the big take away. that and a call for unity. they want unity. they want the country to come back together. that was fascinating. laura: dan patrick, lieutenant governor. i know he was recognized tonight, as was pretty much every republican congressman and
