Republicans are pushing a new bill that would cap the salaries of the Pentagon's diversity, equity and inclusion employees at $31,000.

Sen. Tom Cotton and Rep. Jim Banks said on Wednesday they planned to introduce legislation that would limit staffers working on the issues to more junior grades.
