Chief Judge Robert Rossiter of the U.S. District Court of Nebraska dismissed seven of nine women’s claims. Former Nebraska volleyball player Capri Davis and lead plaintiff Sheridan Thomas were among the women whose claims were dismissed.

The dismissed claims came from women who alleged the school didn’t adequately respond to sexual assault or harassment complaints, some claiming they were victims of Cornhusker athletes.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A federal judge dismissed the claims of seven women who alleged the University of Nebraska-Lincoln didn't adequately respond to their complaints of being sexually assaulted or harassed, including four women who said they were victims of Cornhuskers athletes.

Four female students sued the school, alleging it failed to address their claims of sexual assault and harassment by male athletes.
