The dream of exploring deep space is one step closer to realization. NASA's Artemis Gateway lunar base has taken its first step toward completion.

NASA's CAPSTONE spacecraft is now traveling to the moon following its separation with Rocket Labs' Proton spacecraft bus in Earth's orbit.

The Capstone mission, that will identify a new orbit around the Moon and pave the way for the big-ticket Moon missions, has left Earth's orbit on course to the lunar world.
