The Honors College will present a panel of experts to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Haiti from 4 - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the Honors Student Lounge.

The R Word begins its second season with this live book discussion with Greg Thompson, co-author of Reparations: A Christian Call for Repentance and Repair, at the Fayetteville Public Library. Greg speaks to a live audience about his book. Thompson begins with a discussion of the major themes of his book, particularly about how reparations are a return of the threefold thefts of truth, wealth, and power from African Americans in this country. Today is the season 3 premiere of Undisciplined, a podcast collaboration with KUAF, Ozarks at Large, and the African and African American Studies program at the University of Arkansas. Host Dr. Caree Banton and producer Matthew Moore are starting off this season with mental health and welcomed Joi McGowan to the conversation. Joi is the host of another KUAF podcast, Resilient Black Women, and she says that she was seen as a trusted counselor and listener at an early age.

The celebration is from 2-6 p.m. and features guest speakers, live music, painting, poetry and more.
