With less than a month before the March primary, and early voting already underway, Mahoning County Commissioners are calling the renewal of a three-quarter percent sales tax levy one of the most important issues on the ballot.

A Mahoning County worker who claimed that his firing was in political retaliation has received a $175,000 settlement from the county.

A tentative agreement has been reached in a federal lawsuit filed by a Mahoning County employee against the county's three Commissioners.

However, the close race is now headed for a recount with Righetti leading by a slim margin 137 votes, one-half of one percent.
