The homeowners in Queensland, Australia, said they had woken up after hearing items being knocked off a dining table in their kitchen before realising a carpet python had made its way inside.

The Carpet Python, which looked to be nearly three metres in length, was pulled from a hedge in Buderim, on Queenslands Sunshine Coast.

The predator was described as a "monster" by a snake-catcher, who said it was "one of the biggest" hes caught in some time.
