A local senior living facility honored eight of its residents in a special Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday.

The Brewery Arts Center has teamed up with The Change Companies and Miles Construction to provide live music directly to the citizens of Carson City during this time of sheltering in place.

A proposed 165-unit apartment development on U.S. 221 in Forest drew a unanimous denial recommendation from the Bedford County Planning Commission after more than a handful of residents expressed concerns over traffic and the project being too dense for the area.

But they’re also a potential liability to the city if anyone gets hurt using any one of them.
