Carson Binkley is going into his third year as a vocal performance major at Bemidji State University.

The cocktail wear-optional evening features performances by BSU students, faculty, and guest artists.

Local students attending Bemidji State University are among more than two dozen singers who will perform at the university's second annual Opera Night, Jan. 19-20, in BSU's Beaux Arts Ballroom.

Seventeen Bemidji State University music students recently competed in the Minnesota Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions and two students won their categories.

This past spring, the BAAE granted $23,000 to arts organizations in and around Bemidji. Funds raised on Sunday will be used for 2024 grants.

The free concert will run from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids.

The Bob Madeson Trio opens the 2023 Noon Hour Concert season on June 1 at Calvary Lutheran Church.
