The Carson City Schools Foundation, was pleased to accept a generous $1,000 donation from Greater Nevada Credit Union to support student learning in the Carson City School District.
Jacqueline Milagros Acosta-Bruno was born Nov. 17, 2002 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev., to Claudia Bruno and Hector Acosta. She has four younger brothers and sisters, all attending Carson City Schools, as well as a sibling just 18-months-old.
Eleanor Roosevelt said, “A good leader inspires people to have confidence in the leader. A great leader inspires people to have confidence in themselves.” Jhone Ebert, Nevada’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction, exhibited the traits of a great leader during her April 16 visit to Carson City School District’s Pioneer High School.
The first Carson City School District School Board Meeting of 2019 will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8 in the Sierra Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street, at 7 p.m.
The Carson City School District and the School Board of Trustees approved salary increases for administration in the school district at the Aug. 8 school board meeting.
