Carson Senators News Today

Visit Carson City and pro cyclist Peter Stetina hosted the Peter Stetina Paydirt Challenge gravel race in Carson City this weekend. More than 600 bikers from around the world participated in either the 69-mile long course or the 56-mile medium course races.

It was another league match up for the Carson Senators as they squared up against the Wooster Colts Friday at Carson High School. The Senators came in as heavy favorites and executed their task of putting the Colts away with ease.

Fifteen teams and more than 300 athletes from Nevada and the Eastern Sierra competed in the Nevada Interscholastic Cycling League championship on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Western Nevada College. The event drew more than 800 riders and spectators and was hosted by WNC and Visit Carson City.

Much of Carson High Schools’ success flows from the voluntary assistance of individuals and businesses selflessly giving of their time, their effort, and their resources to the advancement of Carson City’s youth and local community.

The team came out strong and played hard, but lost in the final minutes of the game against Dos Palos.

The Sonora Wildcats trounced the Ripon Indians 43-0 in the Sonora home opener.

The Carson High Senators varsity baseball team and fans in attendance paid tribute to Timothy Jones in a commemorative ceremony Saturday at Ron McNutt field.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! **** Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong is warning residents to protect their property this holiday season in light of a recent increase of reported thefts committed by drug users. According to Furlong, many of these thefts are being committed by the victims family and friends, stealing to support their drug habits.
