Carson Senfield was a student at the University of Tampa. He was shot while trying to get into what turned out to be the wrong car.

That case was ruled to be a justifiable homicide under Florida's Stand Your Ground Law.

The person who shot and killed a 19-year-old University of Tampa student in September said the teenager "pointed something at him, and he thought it was a gun," according to newly released documents.

Witness accounts from the scene of the shooting said Senfield appeared to be “drunk or high” when he got into a stranger’s car.

Carson Senfield, 19, was shot and killed last September after he approached a car that his family believes he mistook for his Uber.

No charges were filed because of Florida's Stand Your Ground Law, which allows anyone who feels threatened to use deadly force.
