Carson City Ward 2 Supervisor Brad Bonkowski will hold his monthly “Breakfast with Brad” on Friday, March 6, at 7:00 am at the Cracker Box restaurant. The coffee get together is open to all Carson City residents. Bonkowski hopes anyone with a question or an idea regarding a city issue will stop in, plus he buys the coffee.

Two Carson City jail inmates face felony battery charges after a fight Monday inside one of the cells, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. Arrested were Nathan Scott Chavez, 31, and Donald Lee Davis, 29, both of Carson City. Each were given bail amounts of $20,000. According to the arrest report, officers were advised at around 9:10 p.m.

RCMP in Gods Lake Narrows, Man., are seeking a pair of youths in connection with a fire that engulfed a local home. Another teen has been arrested and charged with arson.

Drift smoke from California wildfires may begin to improve in some areas of western Nevada including the Reno and Carson City areas, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.

In an effort to provide enhanced safety for children and to give the public a greater sense of security during Halloween evening, officers from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation, will conduct Operation Scarecrow on Oct. 31, 2019, in Carson City and the Reno, Sparks areas of Washoe County.

Carson City firefighters and Care Flight responded late Saturday night to the Prison Hill area southeast of Carson City after a 29-year-old man reportedly fell 30 feet. The man was reported to have a head injury, was bleeding from a laceration, was conscious and awake but not alert.
