The Carson City Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with Joining Forces and the Office of Traffic Safety have provided a limited number of water and cola Koozies to be given to those who choose to be designated drivers during the game.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 that there are 58 new cases and 11 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 9,466, with 4,777 recoveries and 122 deaths; 4,567 cases remain active.

A minimum security inmate broke out of a window and took off on foot early Tuesday morning from the Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City before quickly being recaptured, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday on a felony failure to appear warrant issued out of Reno Justice Court on drug charges. Shelby Moorhead is being held without bail on the felony warrant and will be extradited to Reno. She also faces a misdemeanor warrant charge of being in violation of a suspended sentence.

A 43-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for allegedly stealing items from Walmart and then using pepper spray on a store greeter, the store manager and two customers, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Highway 50 and Brown Street after filing a false police report, accusing another person of kidnapping. According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle that had been reported in connection with a possible kidnapping in the area of Highway 50 and Brown.
