Carson City emergency crews called crashes on I-580 near Fairview, South Carson and on Clearview

UPDATE 7PM: According to NHP, there were two crashes that happened this evening in the area of I-580 and Fairview, northbound lane just after 5:30 p.m. Both crashes were non-injury, however, northbound I-580 was closed briefly. It was re-opened at around 7 p.m. Meanwhile, CCSO reports separate crashes that happened later, just after 6 p.m.

4 Piece Puzzle kicks off the Tahoe Sound Series at Brewery Arts Center | Carson City Nevada News

Every fourth Friday through May the Brewery Arts Center and the Carson City Downtown Business Association are treating locals to some jammin Tahoe Sounds. A series of just up-the-hill bands will be at the Performance Hall on King Street. The fun starts at 7 p.m. for just $15 at the door with kids under 12 for free.

Carson City Fire Department called to preschool for smoke investigation, source determined to come from HVAC

Carson City Fire Department responded late Monday morning to the 200 block of North Division Street for a report of light smoke coming from a preschool that was later determined to be from a burned heater inside an HVAC system. All children were safely evacuated from the preschool at 212 North Division Street.

Carson High to celebrate CTE Month with Governor Sisolak Thursday

Students and educators at Carson High School will celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month in an invitation-only event with a special visit from Nevada State Governor Steve Sisolak, Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8:45 a.m. in Senator Square at Carson High School.
