A Henry County funeral home that bought the Stevens Funeral business accused the Stevens organization of failing to transfer money and documentation needed to honor the needs of some customers.

Martinsville, Virginia Circuit Court Judge Carter Greer denied motions by Gov. Jim Justice, his wife Cathy Justice and his son Jay Justice to set aside confessions of judgment admitting to over $300 million in debt to a Virginia-based bank, Carter Bank & Trust. The Justices signed documents that make them liable for just over $300 million in debt.
