Chad Daniels, who is the high school principal, has coordinated the high school graduation for the last 14 years. It was his last one as he retires at the end of June. Overall, he has been with the district for 26 years. “I think I’m the longest serving high school principal in Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola counties,” he said. Although Daniels graduated from a neighboring school district, his roots run deep in the Cass City School District, where he started his career in 1996 to teach alternative education. His career evolved into teaching, coaching academics at the high school and becoming the high school principal.

New stalls will be installed as well. Spring break starts March 29 and goes to April 2. The funds for that work are coming from the $8.68 million bond extension voters approved in 2018. “This summer in the elementary, we will be replacing the ceiling tile and all of the grid work running new pipes so that we have air-conditioning along with heating, Hartel said. We will be able to have air conditioning throughout the building. There were some AC units for the computer lab and the office, but now there will be AC throughout the whole building. That will be nice.”
