River Edge Behavioral Health plans to offer services that will address the need for mental health and addiction services here in Central Georgia.

River Edge Behavioral Health is expanding in 2024 with new administrative offices, an outpatient clinic and a housing project.

River Edge Behavioral Health is building phase two of there permanent homes in East Macon for homeless people. They hope to have the ten homes completed in May 2024.

The 34,000 square foot building will be the first of its kind in Georgia, and offer a range of healthcare services.

Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is partnering with a Macon-based provider to open a health care center specifically for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD.
