Residents of an apartment complex in Tewksbury have gone largely without clean water for several days after a leak and water main burst as unseasonable heat grips the region. 

About 50 homes have been impacted and roughly 400 units at an apartment complex don't have full water pressure.

The leak was discovered when the local water treatment plant noticed they were losing a lot of water in this area.

Officials plan to begin a bypass of the line that will then need to be chlorinated, flushed out and tested before residents can drink the water.
