School District Five of Richland and Lexington approved adding a $240 million bond referendum to the general election ballot for the Irmo and Chapin district.

Lexington-Richland School District Five board members approved a $240,000 million dollar bond referendum which passed with five-yes, one-no, and one abstained vote.

School District Five of Lexington and Richland is looking to rezone its Chapin and Irmo schools in a bond referendum without raising taxes as the county grows.
