The estimated assessable project cost is $3,110,079. The total estimated city cost is $2,117,735. The council wants to take a longer look at its assessment policy in terms of costs and options.

The City Council approved a change to allow move theaters to apply for an on-sale liquor license. The move came after a request by Mann Theaters.

The use is not allowed on city property or in city facilities nor is cigarette smoking or alcohol.

The city of Baxter has tentative plans for the full depth reclamation of six residential roads and one commercial road during 2023 and residents are concerned about assessment costs.

An open house about the reclamation of six Baxter city roads and extension of two paved trails is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Oct. 20.
