On Monday two people were killed including an IRB personnel. The 48-hour total shutdown in Manipurs Kangpokpi district imposed by the Committee on Tribal Unity, or the CoTU, Sadar Hills culminated on Wednesday while its economic blockade along NH-2 and NH-37 is still underway. Volunteers were seen at various locations enforcing the total shutdown. However, there was no report of any untoward incident.

The Committee on Tribal Unity, based in Kangpokpi district, has petitioned for the safe transportation of the bodies of deceased Kuki-Zo individuals.
