Tesla's Texas factory will span 5.6 million square-feet when the expansion is finished

The new space is expected to allow for the production of Tesla's new cyber-truck. The extra space could include the all-electric big rig, battery storage units and possibly even the robots Elon Musk is developing.

EV maker Tesla has applied with the state of Texas regarding the expansion of its Austin-based gigafactory to accommodate more operations. 

If approved, the expansion would add 1.4 million square feet of space to the already huge factory.

It seems Tesla is forever expanding and upgrading, even in a volatile economy where there are plenty of concerns about demand and the industry as a whole.

The projects will provide Tesla with another 1.4 million square feet on-site at Gigafactory Texas, and construction could start as soon as the end of the month.

Volvo CE Volvo Construction Equipment says it saw net sales increase by 13% in Q2 year over year, driven by higher volumes in North America, Europe and South America.
